Over the last month, a seriously large amount of shit has hit a seriously large fan . All because of one man who a lot of us grew up believing was some kind of crusading hero for many great causes, road safety, spinal injuries you name it, he pretty much supported it.

OR SO WE THOUGHT...

Jimmy Savile isn't the hero i believed him to be as a kid. He's turned out to be something vile, and poisonous. There's no escaping it, or denying it. we've seen the news stories, we've seen once loved celebrities  exposed as creatures to be despised because of their deeds which had long been kept hidden from the public eye. I'm not going to bang on about that though, because a lot has yet to be proven on these people. It's the ripples that are spreading from this now polluted pond.

I was saying earlier today how it would be a shame if Savile's catalogue of foul unpunished acts were to taint Children in Need . It seems my fears are justified. i was in town today and nowhere could i see people fund raisng for this great cause which every year has raised vast amounts of money for kids all over the UK, and a lot of that money goes to kids who are the victims of abuse at the hands of animals like Savile and Glitter.
If people boycott or or choose not to raise funds or donate because of Savile's connections with the BBC (remember it has been said a lot that he was never allowed near this event , EVER (we now know why)) that would be a tragedy because then the victims of people like Savile lose out. Think about it.

i don't expect people to do so off the back of this blog/rant but maybe someone will think and then make a donation in spite of what that animal did.
I'm sorry if this sounds like a tv appeal. It isn't. it's my opinion, please or offend.
